Aims
At Lindale Pre-School Nursery we aim to encourage every child to reach their full potential in learning and understanding of the world, creating a happy and secure environment in which they may develop their initiative, independence, social skills and general knowledge.
We will work in partnership with parents/carers to help them achieve this and offer children and their parent/carers a service that promotes equality and values diversity.
This will lay a firm foundation with which to build their future and to enter full-time education ready and eager to achieve.
Personal, Social and Emotional Development
Snack time is a great time to encourage social skills and talking by talking to adults and other children.

Through play children are encouraged to form friendships with others.
Communication, Language and Literacy
The writing table is a continuous provision where the children can draw and make marks.
We use "Jolly Phonics" for letters and sounds.
Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy
Through puzzles we enhance the childrens understanding of shape and space.
Shape recognition and matching.
Fun activities encourage counting and number recognition.
Knowledge and Understanding of the World
Through using the computer the children will acheive the ability to use a mouse and keyboard to interact with age appropriate CD-ROMs.

Trips out help children develop curiosity and interest in the environment.
Playing with small world toys helps children to think about the environment in which they live.
Physical Development
With a wide range of outdoor equipment children are encourage to develop their physical abilities.
Creative Development
Enjoying some messy activity!
